Recap of AWS Container Day South Africa 2024

LSD Open hosted AWS Container Day South Africa 2024, which took place on 25 July at The Edge @ Knightsbridge (Bryanston). The agenda featured two talk tracks with four sessions each, focusing on a range of topics that touched on both the business and technical realms.

Speakers from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Red Hat and LSD Open gave delegates an insightful experience with talks that focused on modernising with containers and AWS.

It was abundantly clear that there is a deep hunger for containers/AWS content and usage, and the event also provided valuable feedback from the audience on what future iterations of AWS Container Day South Africa could look like (including hands-on technical labs!).

We would like to thank everyone that attended the event and spent their time with us. We would also like to thank our esteemed panel of speakers for preparing incredible talks – Jason Nicholls, Nataizya Sikasote, Lukonde Mwila, Lyndon Munetsi, Lee Moodley, Eugene de Souza, Morgan Rowse and Deon Stroebel. Finally, we would also like to thank AWS, Red Hat, First Distribution, The Edge @ Knightsbridge, Mariska Schoeman, Roxanne Kelway, Kayleigh Scott and Jessica Frohlich for making the event possible.

LSD Open is an AWS Select Tier Services Partner. Learn more about our collaboration here.
