From open-source Linux beginnings to mastering cloud-native technologies our journey to accelerating the future continues to be powered by relentless innovation.

2001

The company, then Linux System Dynamics (LSD) was founded in August 2001 by Stefan and Sven Lesicnik and formally incorporated on 11 October, 2001.

2002

In 2002, Neil White’s arrival marked the inception of team growth at LSD, with the business gradually expanding the workforce and business from the point onwards. The main focus of the business during this time was to help enterprises adopt and succeed with Linux-based operating systems, and to embrace other open source technologies.

2015

In 2015, LSD commenced with the exploration of the Kubernetes as an enterprise technology , leveraging its open source container orchestration to enhance software deployment and corporate administration. Because of the company’s background in Linux, it was a natural fit and platform services were offered to customers soon after.

2020

2020 marked the year that the company adopted a new trading name as “LSD Open” and kicked-off a drive to reach more markets internationally.

2022

A new leadership structure was adopted in 2022, with Neil White stepping into the role of CEO.

2023

In 2023, LSD Open opened offices in the United Arab Emirates and Mauritius, and became delivering projects to customers in the Middle East. The team also grew to over 50 people for the first time, with no signs of slowing down.

2026

LSD Open reaches a new milestone of turning 25 years old! The company passes the 70 person mark for the first time.
